Students are assigned two coordinate points and create a poster illustrating three ways to find slope: with a graph, with a t-table, and with the slope formula. This focused process promotes deeper conceptual understanding and helps students not only make stronger connections among the different strategies, but also provides them with three tools to use when finding slope on an assignment or assessment. The resulting posters look great when displayed in the classroom.
